Map & directions to The Waterfront Loch Sport
98 The Boulevard, Loch Sport, Victoria 3851, Australia.
We sit at the quiet National Park end of Loch Sport, on a no-through road with the lake at the bottom of the garden — about three and a half hours east of Melbourne.
The lake and the beach
The house faces north across Lake Victoria and Pelican Bay, part of the Gippsland Lakes — the largest inland waterway system in Australia. A garden path drops straight from the deck to a sheltered sandy lake beach, shallow and calm enough for children and easy to launch a kayak or paddleboard from.
Loch Sport sits on a narrow spit of land: the lake on one side, the Southern Ocean on the other. From the front door it is a five-minute drive (or a good walk) over the dunes to Ninety Mile Beach, and five minutes the other way to the entrance of The Lakes National Park.
The town has a very well stocked Foodworks Supermarket, bakery, cafes, a bowls club and the RSL. For larger shops, Sale is the nearest large town — worth stocking up before you arrive.
